Even though this club only opened in 1982, it quickly became Bluebird Cafea favorite with locals and artists. Some of the people who perform here have been well established in Nashville as singers for years. It was here in 1987 where one of the greatest country and western singers was discovered; Garth Brooks. The film “The Thing Called Love” features a lot of this venue, and starred Sandra Bullock and River Phoenix. The Bluebird Café is now as much a part of Nashville as some of the other music bars that have been around for decades.


 


9. General Jackson Showboat
